Bhima Ratna Shri Sohanlal Sampla (Germany) is a personality who has dedicated his life to the Ambedkar Mission. In his early teens he participated in the Republican Front launched by the Republican Party of India in 1964 under the leadership of Shri Lahori Ram Balley, Editor Bheem Patrika & Bheem Patrika Publications. The Republican Front has its own 14 demands were submitted to the Central Government, out of which ‘Nationalization of Banks, Allotment of
Additional Lands to Scheduled Castes and Installation of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Statue outside the Parliament Building etc.’ were accepted by the then Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Shri Sampla and the members of Dr Ambedkar Mission Society Europe, Germany got translated English version of ‘Dr. Ambedkar: Life and Mission’ into German Language. It is a great achievement by them. He also released this book abroad in Germany and sent it to libraries and schools to promote the Ambedkar Mission. We wish Shri Sohanlal Samplaji good health and long life so that he may continue to propagate the Ambedkar Mission and Buddha Dhamma in India and abroad. (News by Shri Baldev Raj Bharadwaj)
